Financial planning fees
Your needs and your financial situation are different from any other client. Your financial plan and the fees you pay for your plan will also be distinct.
How much does financial planning cost?
Fees can be based on several different, often interrelated factors:
- The complexity of your situation, such as blended family needs, estate planning goals or types of investments you select
- The advisor's financial planning service fee schedule
When participating in ongoing financial planning, you pay a fee annually. If you also own an Ameriprise Financial investment or brokerage account, there may be additional brokerage fees and commissions.
You'll know up front exactly what you will receive for the quoted cost of your plan, and you're not obligated to proceed unless you're completely comfortable.
Individual plans for unique needs
Ameriprise financial advisors work with a wide variety of individuals — each with different goals. Everyone will need or want a different level of planning, and each plan will require a different mix of products and services.
Although you're under no obligation to purchase additional products or services from Ameriprise Financial, doing so may have an advantageous impact on some other fees.
Get more out of your plan
While we're confident that you'll find value in the plan a financial advisor creates for you, you can enhance that value by providing complete and accurate information to your financial advisor and by actively participating in developing financial planning goals and preferences.
